"Le Canada rural doit avoir un champion au sein du Cabinet fédéral et un plan fédéral à long terme pour mettre fin au dépérissement qui menace les petites municipalités et les villages."

"Le Canada rural contribue à la croissance de l'économie du pays et à notre identité nationale. Pourtant, les municipalités et les villages qui forment le Canada rural luttent pour leur survie, voyant sans cesse s’assombrir leurs perspectives d’avenir dans le pays qu’ils ont aidé à bâtir.
