Position: Graduate student funding opportunity with the Rural Research Centre

The Rural Research Centre invites proposals from M.A. students who intend to pursue a multi-, trans- or inter-disciplinary thesis project, one that critically engages in at least two of the following research/thematic areas:
the context and content of Canadian federal, regional, and/or provincial agricultural policy; community economic development in rural Atlantic Canada; trends around global and/or regional trade regimes; alternative socioeconomic models connected to agriculture/rural development found either in the “Global North’ or “Global South”; or more generally, the relationship between food (in)security, conventional-organic agricultural production systems, farm health/safety regulation and policy.
