Events/Événements : Rural energy matters

April 12th 2011. "RURENER is part of the European Sustainable Energy Week. Together with other organisers such as the FREE initiative (Future of Rural Energy in Europe) or the Regional Office of Silesia we invite you to discuss the interface between ENERGY and RURAL."

Introduced by representatives from DG energy and DG agriculture (speakers to be confirmed), the event will give you the chance to share your experience and knowledge on this topic and to know more about the existing initiatives which you could join.

The objective is to share opinions and experiences, and to open a perspective to better promote the role and potential of rural areas in the field of energy, and the role of energy in the local development issue of rural areas and actors.
Covenant of mayors, competition on resources, sustainable building, climate change, agriculture, rural funds, … will be some of the topics of the day!

Where and when? April 12th 2011 from 14:00 to 17:30 at the Committee of the Regions, rue Belliard, 101, Brussels
