RuralTube : Digital Divide Documentary. Reconnecting with C@P: Stories and Srategies from the Halifax Region

Source: The Halifax Regional C@P Association.
Through stories from nine community access (C@P) sites in the Halifax region, this documentary explores digital divides and the value and ever-changing potential of community access to the Internet and information technology.

"The Community Access Program (CAP) is an initiative developed to help provide Canadians with affordable public access to the Internet and the skills to use it effectively. It is one of the first Canada On-line programs to be launched. And it’s an important part of Connecting Canadians, the Government of Canada’s exciting agenda, to make Canadians the most Internet-connected people in the world. Under CAP, public sites such as libraries and community centres act as “on-ramps” to the Information Highway and provide support on how to make the best use of the Internet."
