Events/Événements : Rural Medicine Conference, Northern Ontario

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine invites you to attend its first Rural Medicine Conference. The goal of this program is to become more competent in dealing with common clinical problems in the rural setting.

This conference is being held in Sudbury, Ontario and is occurring in parallel with the Northern Health Research Conference (NHRC) to promote networking between Researchers and Physicians of Northern Ontario.

Conference objectives:

- To gain practical tips to managing patients with alcohol and anxiety issues.
- To help rural practitioners evaluate head trauma patients and initiate patient management prior to transfer.
- To learn an approach to ordering and reading c-spine films and develop greater comfort in correctly managing neck injuries and reading the x-rays.
- To prepare practitioners for common and not so common cardiac rhythms and events.
