Events/Événements : ICT and Rural Areas: Building the Knowledge Society at Grassroots Level

ENRD is organising an event - " ICT and rural areas: building the knowledge society at grassroots level " on 10 February, 2011, in Brussels. The objectives of the seminar are:

* Review of current ICT needs of agriculture, the food industry and rural areas, including issues relating to the new Digital Agenda for Europe and the EU Broadband Strategy;

* To facilitate the sharing of experience of rural development policy implementation, as regards ICT, and pertaining to agriculture, the food industry and rural areas generally. In addition, it aims to contribute to the sharing of good practice for ICT projects in rural areas.

* To draw together ideas for future rural development policy as regards the “post-2013” discussions.
